Richard Mille RM 53-01 replica is a watch with a 50mm x 44.50mm tonneau case made of TPT carbon fiber. This material offers increased strength and shock-resistance, along with a characteristic layering pattern. The watch employs a completely skeletonized tourbillon movement that is mounted on the inside of the case with the help of four steel cables to protect it from potential impacts.
The Build
The case is made out of TPT carbon fiber. It is an extremely strong and rigid composite material that is known for its impact resistance. The tonneau shaped case has dimensions of 50mm x 44.50mm and is covered with the characteristic layered and wavy TPT surface. The case is complemented by a red rubber strap.
The Dial
This particular watch is equipped with a skeletonized dial without any dial plate. Tourbillon movement is attached inside the case with the help of four steel cables, which makes it visible from the front. The dial is covered by anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The Movement
The RM 53-01 replica is powered by a skeletonized tourbillon movement. The baseplate and bridges are openworked to reduce weight while maintaining rigidity. The entire movement is mounted using a patented four-steel-cable suspension system designed to protect the mechanism from external shocks. It delivers a power reserve of 40-50 hours when fully wound. Manual winding is recommended approximately every two days.
