De RM 055 Bubba Watson “White Legend” is een van die Richard Mille stukken die je onmiddellijk herkent. Groot, gedurfd, lichtgewicht en zeer agressief om de pols — precies waar de RM-stijl voor staat.
Dit model komt in de klassieke 49mm tonneau kast, gemaakt van een mix van NTPT koolstofvezel en gezandstraald titanium. Hoewel het groot lijkt, voelt het helemaal niet zwaar aan. Het draagt verrassend comfortabel, en de keuze van materialen geeft het die echte “high-tech race machine” vibe.
De wijzerplaat is volledig geskeletoriseerd, zodat je recht door het uurwerk kunt kijken, inclusief de tourbillon. De “White Legend” details maken deze versie speciaal — witte binnenring, witte wijzers en de witte kroonpakking, die er schoon en scherp uitziet tegen de zwarte koolstof wijzerplaat. De koolstofflens is ook behandeld met DLC-coating, en de uurmarkeringen hebben een luminescente vulling, zodat het ook in het donker goed leesbaar is.
Het is afgewerkt met een zwarte NTPT band, bedekt met een saffierglas, en heeft een waterdichtheid van 50 meter. Al met al is deze RM 055 het soort horloge dat mensen kopen omdat ze iets luidruchtigs, technisch en onmiddellijk herkenbaars willen — niet iets gewoons.
