Last time I shared my thoughts on the ultra-thin and ultra-light ZF Factory (UMI Studio) RM 67-02 — a true high-end custom masterpiece. Today, I want to talk about another impressive Richard Mille replica from ZF Factory: the RM 35-02 Rafael Nadal.
The RM 35-02 is one of the most popular Richard Mille models on the market. Almost every major factory has produced their version, including ZF, Sonic, T+, BBR, and the newly released NEW Factory. But let me be very clear upfront: do not buy the T+ version. Seriously, stay away from it.
Original RM 35-02 Overview
The RM 35-02 is the automatic version created for Rafael Nadal. It features an extremely lightweight NTPT carbon fiber case, a highly skeletonized RMAL1 movement, and that signature aggressive “bull” design. The mechanical feel and sound when winding and running are noticeably improved compared to older versions.

Features a custom double-sided sapphire crystal with multi-axis polishing and nano anti-reflective coating on both sides. Crafted from high-quality NTPT carbon fiber with accurate tonneau shape and layered texture. After extensive development, it achieves an excellent balance of lightness, strength, and wearing comfort while keeping the original aggressive sports character.
How ZF Compares with Other Factories
ZF vs Sonic: Both are high-quality. Sonic is usually noticeably cheaper, which makes sense because ZF always prices their watches higher due to better materials and tighter quality control.
ZF vs BBR V3: BBR still holds a slight edge in full gear movement and carbon texture depth, but ZF V7/UMI is very close and sometimes preferred for the red circle color.
